Arsenal Places Third £105m Bid for Declan Rice, West Ham Midfielder

Rice recently led West Ham to the title victory at the Europa Conference League earlier in June.

Arsenal has now put forth its third bid for Declan Rice, the West Ham and England midfielder, amounting to £105m.

Manchester City, the triumphant treble winners, who had their £90m bid for the 24-year-old turned down on Tuesday, have decided not to equal Arsenal’s offer.

Earlier, Arsenal had two offers rebuffed by West Ham because they were below the desired £100m mark.

However, it seems that the Hammers are not convinced about the structure of the recent bid from Arsenal.

Declan Rice Transfer Developments: Will the West Ham and England Midfielder Choose Arsenal or Man City?

Rice’s current agreement at the London Stadium will run out in 2024, with an option for a one-year extension till the summer of 2025.

If Arsenal’s offer of £100m upfront plus £5m in add-ons turns out to be successful, the initial amount would tie the British record set by Manchester City for the acquisition of midfielder Jack Grealish.

Earlier in the month, English midfielder Jude Bellingham inked a deal with Real Madrid for an initial £88.5m. This deal could go up to £115m, given add-ons are activated.

After West Ham’s triumphant Europa Conference League match against Fiorentina earlier this month, Chairman David Sullivan expressed a 99% certainty that Rice would part ways with West Ham this summer.

With 15 goals in 245 matches for West Ham, Rice, an academy product, made his first team debut in the 2016-17 season.

He has represented England 41 times, participating in all five matches at the previous winter’s World Cup.

Honestly, arsenal can take their money and jog on… Rice is the heart of our squad, and no amount of cash can replace that.
