“It’s absolutely surreal,” Boutier expressed after clinching her back-to-back victory at the Women’s Scottish Open, marking her second title in two weeks.

The French golfer, aged 29, secured her win by a margin of two strokes against South Korea’s Kim Hyo-Joo at Dundonald Links, located in Ayrshire.

Just the previous week, Boutier had won her inaugural major title at the Evian Championship in her native France.

“It’s beyond my wildest dreams to win not one, but two successive tournaments,” she shared, “I am truly overwhelmed.”

Ending her final round with a two-under-par 70, Boutier finished the tournament at a score of 15-under 273, scoring four birdies and two bogeys along the way. This victory earned her a hefty prize of £259,000.

This fifth LPGA Tour win positions Boutier as the first LPGA golfer since Ariya Jutanugarn of Thailand in 2016 to claim victory in the tournament immediately following a major championship win.

Moreover, she is the first to secure back-to-back wins on the Tour since Jin Young Ko’s victories in 2021 at the Cognizant Founders Cup and BMW Ladies Championship.

“To tell you the truth, I was quite exhausted at the beginning of the week. I was just trying to make it through each round, striving to perform my best,” Boutier admitted. “Getting the chance to contend over the weekend, and particularly today, was truly an unexpected perk.”

Among the British competitors, Eleanor Givens of England was the highest finisher, securing a joint 28th place, 12 strokes behind. Meanwhile, Gemma Dryburgh was the leading Scot, finishing three shots further back in joint 44th.
