The captain of the England cricket team, Jos Buttler, was the highest scorer in the Indian Premier League this year. His 79 runs from 51 balls helped his team called Rajasthan Royals defeat Delhi Capitals by 57 runs. Jaiswal made 60 runs while Kumar took 2 wickets. On the other side, Warner scored 65 and Chahal took 3 wickets. In the end, Rajasthan won!
Rajasthan scored 199 runs thanks to Shimron Hetmyer’s 39 runs in only 21 balls. Delhi’s captain, David Warner, attempted to reach Rajasthan’s score by hitting 65 but fell short and ended up with 142 runs. Jos Buttler was dropped on 18 during the match but managed to scored 11 fours and a six for his team, while Jaiswal scored 50 runs within 25 balls.
Delhi fought back and managed to get rid of Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, and Riyan Parag by only allowing them to score a few runs. In between these outs, Jos Buttler stayed and hit some good shots to make sure Rajasthan got an impressive total. Later on in the 19th over, New Zealand seamer Trent Boult bowled a double-wicket maiden – getting two wickets in one go – which was his second such turn in three games!
India’s bowlers got rid of Prithvi Shaw and Manish Pandey before Ravichandran Ashwin took out Rilee Rossouw to make Delhi 36-3. David Warner kept it together and scored his half century in 44 balls, combining with Lalit Yadav for 63 runs, though his high strike rate put the others under pressure. Trent Boult had 3-29 while Yuzvendra Chahal and Ashwin both snagged 3-27 and 2-25 respectively.
Rajasthan is at the top of the standings with two wins from three games, Whereas in contrast, Delhi has yet to win any game and are close to rock bottom.
