Liverpool vs Arsenal: An Epic Draw Leaves Jurgen Klopp Caught in Two Minds

by admin

Jurgen Klopp was puzzled how Liverpool did not win the match against Arsenal considering how exciting and chaotic it was.

The game was really intense and filled with lots of action. Nobody expected the events that happened when they faced each other in Merseyside.

Though, Liverpool still managed to tie things up 2-2 after coming from two goals down due to a late goal by Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah missing a penalty kick earlier in the match.

Arsenal’s goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale had two impressive saves near the end of the game which fired up everybody and also caused a controversy when Andy Robertson, a Liverpool defender, clashed with an official. This result allowed Arsenal to extend their lead over Manchester City by six points and Micah Richards who was a former England defender said that this is one of the best games he has ever witnessed.

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard said it was “a crazy game” and manager Arteta experienced the exciting atmosphere at Anfield as he expected on Friday. However, Liverpool boss Klopp couldn’t understand why his team didn’t win in the end despite their chances when Ramsdale performed impressively during extra time. “It was an amazing game in the end,” Klopp added. “I don’t know how we missed out on all those late opportunities.”

This happened a lot this season. The game was completely open and our opponents scored two goals right away. I’m not really sure if I should be happy with the draw or not. Arsenal played well but they probably could have lost this game. All of sudden, things got chaotic and exciting!

Liverpool had 19 shots inside Arsenal’s goal box when they played at Anfield Stadium. According to records from 2003 until now, this is the most shots that Arsenal ever faced in a Premier League match!

Arteta, Arsenal’s coach, said after the game: “We were winning but then we did something silly and Liverpool went ahead. After that, it became really chaotic and Liverpool could have scored 4 goals while Arsenal also had chances to score 3 goals. In the end, I think the score was fair.”
