Marcus Rashford Extends Manchester United Tenure to 2028
Marcus Rashford, 25, has cemented his position at Manchester United with a new contract that will see him remain at the club until 2028. The contract, worth £325,000 per week, has been under negotiation for some time, especially with his prior contract set to expire in 2024.
Rashford has marked his presence with the club’s first team for eight seasons. He experienced a career high last season under the new management of Erik ten Hag, netting 30 goals in 56 appearances.

Rashford, along with two other England players, faced racist abuse after missing a penalty in the Euro 2020 final against Italy.
After shoulder surgery in August 2021, Rashford underwent a period of formative struggle, scoring only five goals in a season marked by managerial transitions. He missed out on Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the June 2022 Nations League matches.
However, post-World Cup, Rashford’s performance dramatically improved, with him scoring 10 goals in 10 Premier League matches. He contributed to Manchester United’s Champions League qualification and netted a goal in their Carabao Cup final win over Newcastle United.
