De’Aaron Fox was chosen to be an All-Star player in the 2023 NBA season. The Sacramento Kings outscored the defending champions, Golden State Warriors 126-123 in their opening game for the Western Conference play-offs. Stephen Curry of the Warriors had 30 points and six rebounds when they played at Golden 1 Center. The next match will also be held here on Monday. Meanwhile, Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics and New York Knicks earned victories in their opening games for Eastern conference play-offs.
Joel Embiid and James Harden both played well in Philadelphia’s game against the Brooklyn Nets, helping them win 121-101. Joel had 26 points, and James had 23 plus 13 assists! The team also set a record for most 3-pointers (21) made during a play-off game.
In Boston, Jaylen Brown got 29 points and 12 rebounds after two days of having his fingers treated by doctors. Thanks to him and the rest of their teammates, the Celtics beat the Atlanta Hawks 112-99.
Brown, who hails from Atlanta, could not take part in the Celtics’ last two regular-season matches due to an injury caused by a piece of broken glass at home. The Knicks managed to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 101-97 in spite of losing a 10-point advantage during the fourth quarter.
