Read our Paramount+ FAQ for Serie A for all of the answers to your questions about watching Italy’s top league in the United States.
Paramount+ is now the place to stream Italy’s Serie A matches in the United States. Acquiring the Italian top flight is a sign of the company’s ambition to challenge other major sports broadcasters in the near future. “Paramount+ will be the leader in live sports,” CBS Entertainment Group boss George Cheeks recently claimed. “We’re doubling down on soccer on Paramount+. As we look to the future, we are making soccer a core pillar of sports, exclusively available on Paramount+.”
So what is Paramount+ and how do you watch Serie A matches? Let’s find out.
Q: What is Paramount+?
A: Paramount+ is an over-the-top subscription service featuring both live streaming and on-demand shows/movies. Along with their Italian Serie A coverage, the service also includes soccer from UEFA Champions League, Europa League, NWSL, CONCACAF Nations League, 2022 CONCACAF Women’s Championship, Argentine Primera Division, and Brazilian Serie A.
Q: Tell me about live Serie A games on Paramount+
A: Paramount+ secured the American television rights to carry Serie A matches on their streaming service from 2021 up until the end of the 2023/24 season. Fans of the Italian top flight can watch every Serie A league match on Paramount+, as well as 25 Coppa Italia games per year, and the Supercoppa Italiana match (a yearly matchup between the winners of Serie A and Coppa Italia).
Q: When will Paramount+ start streaming Serie A content?
A: Serie A begins their 2021/22 campaign on the weekend of August 22, 2021.
Q: What replays of games will be available on Paramount+?
A: If Paramount+’s Serie A streaming is similar to their previous UEFA Champions League coverage, then replays of matches should be available directly after each game ends. They also provide match highlights, interviews, and goal compilations following games as well.
Q: Will matches be streamed in any other languages?
A: Yes. Paramount+ will offer Serie A matches in English, Italian, and Spanish.
Beginning with the opening weekend of the 2021/22 season, select games will be available in Italian language, with that number expected to grow as the season progresses.
More information will be coming soon regarding Spanish-language commentary.
Q: Will Serie A games be broadcasted on traditional CBS television?
A: It is likely that a few select Serie A matches each season will be broadcasted on local CBS channels; however, exactly which games are to be on traditional television have not yet been released.
Q: For live games on Paramount+, are player controls available to rewind or pause or fast-forward?
A: No. Subscribers do not have the ability to pause, rewind, or fast-forward during live events on Paramount+. However, this is reportedly set to change in the future.
Q: How much is Paramount+?
A: There are two tiers to choose from — an Essential Package with advertising that is $4.99/month, and one that is $9.99/month, which includes everything the ad-supported option has in addition to live access to your local CBS channel.
Q: For the $9.99/month Premium pricing tier, when it says it includes “more live CBS Sports,” is there anything soccer-related that’s not available in the ad-supported $4.99/month tier?
A: No. All live soccer will be available in the $4.99/month tier.
Q: Is there an annual plan available so you can save more money?
A: Yes. The ‘essential’ $4.99 per month plan is $49.99 annually and the $9.99 per month ‘premium’ option is $99.99 a year.
Q: Do I need a cable or satellite subscription to access Paramount+?
A: No. Paramount+ is not available on any cable/satellite provider plan. The streaming service is a separate over-the-top subscription platform.
Q: How do I access Paramount+?
A: Paramount+ can be streamed on Roku, Android TV, Android phone and tablet, Apple TV, Chromecast, Fire TV, iPhone and iPad, LG TV, PlayStation 4/5, Portal TV, Samsung TV, Vizio TV, Xbox One or Series X/S, and Xfinity Flex.
Q: Have more questions about our Paramount+ FAQ for Serie A?
A: Keep on reading below.
Q: Will any of the games stream in 4K on Paramount+?
A: The ‘premium’ plan currently offers streaming in 4K, HDR, and Dolby Vision.
Q: Where can I find the schedule of Serie A games on Paramount+ and their traditional television channels?
A: In addition to our Paramount+ FAQ for Serie A, World Soccer Talk always provides an updated schedule for Serie A matches, as well as any other big soccer competition around the world.
Q: What other content does Paramount+ offer other than soccer?
A: Paramount+ features a massive content catalog of more than 30,000 episodes, 2,500 movie titles and over 1,000 live sporting events, plus around-the-clock news coverage. Plus, select Paramount Pictures films streams on Paramount+ following a short theatrical release, including A Quiet Place Part II, PAW PATROL: The Movie, and Mission: Impossible 7.
Over 50 original series to premiere on Paramount+ over next two years, including Halo, Frasier, Criminal Minds, iCarly, The Real World, Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, shows from the Avatar, Yellowstone, Star Trek, and SpongeBob SquarePants universes and more. The growing collection of exclusive originals include The Real World Homecoming: New York, For Heaven’s Sake, Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years, and The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run.
Paramount+ features depth of content across key genres, including 7,000 episodes of kids’ content, 5,000 episodes of reality and 6,000 episodes of comedy.
Marquee sporting leagues and events on the service include the NFL, Masters, PGA TOUR, NCAA, SEC, The PGA Championship and more.
Q: Does Paramount+ offer a free trial?
A: Yes. Paramount+ offers a one week free trial of their streaming service. The company also has a 25% discount for current students.
Q: Streaming is getting so expensive. What recommendations do you have to cut costs?
A: Traditional cable and satellite subscriptions have been expensive for years. Not only are subscribers normally locked into annual contracts, but most people end up paying for channels that they don’t actually watch.
Streaming services such as fuboTV, Sling TV, and YouTube TV certainly help bring costs down; however, there are still issues with paying for content that you don’t necessarily use. For fans that almost strictly watch soccer, we recommend the Soccer Mega Pack, which includes Serie A, Premier League, MLS, La Liga, Champions League, and more all for about $25 per month.
Q: What if I have a question that isn’t answered above in the Paramount+ Serie A FAQ for soccer fans?
A: If we have missed something that you really need to know about Paramount+’s Serie A coverage, please sound off in the comment section below and we will try our best to answer your questions.

Since they have coverage in Italian, does that mean RAI will not longer have access to show matches here? They lost access in Italy as well (DAZN has all matches and Sky will show 3 per round in conjunction) so would make sense.
What other sports are included in the premium plan?
On the premium plan, it’s the same sports as the Essential Plan. Difference is fewer commercials and access to live local CBS station.
As of right now, RAI won’t have access to the games here — unless something changes.
Amazing that they will broadcast in Italian as well. Shows that they care about their world soccer fans. BeIn also broadcast games I Spanish, Portuguese and French. Sling broadcasted last World Cup in Portuguese as well. Wish ESPN did the same for Bundesliga.
Any indication that they will offer multi-cam view on AppleTV similar to ESPN?
Nothing planned as of yet.
Currently I have ESPN+ only If I ever get Paraount+ it will be for these reasons 1. CONCACAF WCQ games 2. Hawaii Five-O 3. UEFA club competitions. 4. ICarly….no not really. J/K on that one. I like Star Trek from the TNG and DS9 era too. The “Star Trek” shows today I hear are horrible. I’ll give that a pass.
Will P+ have a pre or post match show like the EPL or champions league? If so, who will the cast consist of?
We believe so, yes. To what extent, we don’t know yet because CBS Sports haven’t announced anything officially. But it’s very likely that Matteo Bonetti is going to be a big part of their coverage.
Will CBS Sports Network air some Serie A matches or is Serie A just going to be on Paramount+ and the occasional over the air CBS match?
The FAQ answers that question. But every single game will be on Paramuont+. CBS Sports Network may air a game now and again, but they will be very few in number. CBS over-the-air, maybe, but doubtful.
@Ra – it’s not that they care and I’m sure if they had a choice, they wouldn’t offer any Italian audio. CBS are obliged to offer 3 matches per round in Italian as per the ITT. This is part of Italian law for the benefit of Italians living abroad. CBS have to comply as Rai International won’t be offering the Italian language coverage during this rights period.
@Me. Great law! I don’t see any downside of offering it in more languages. I checked, and apparently Bundesliga offers only English audio for Bundesliga and just FX sounds for the 2nd division:
I wished ESPN+ would offer several options as Disney+ allows you to select audio from several different languages.
I’m beyond excited for the Italian Serie A to begin. It’s going to be interesting on how the On-Demand service works for the Serie A since it has lead to an extreme downfall during the Champions League when customers couldn’t watch the service due to a poor stream or also to pause and rewind Live content. Mateo Bonetti is going to Paramount due to the fact that he left a message on the ESPN PR page stating that he is leaving ESPN for Paramount but can’t be released due to Paramount not posting it on their main site yet. CBS Sports Goalazo also posted a schedule with all the matches being played on August 22nd which is the first matchday. Forza Napoli and let’s hope that Paramount plus, CBS, and CBS sports create a beautiful experience. I wonder how many games will CBS and CBS sports will show? Also will we have a Goalazo Show on Sundays when multiple matches are being aired at the same time? Thank you so much everyone #SerieA #Napoli
I asked Paramount+ in early July if they will be offering Serie A games with Italian commentary and received the following response, “Thank you for contacting Paramount+. Unfortunately, at this time we do not have a multiple language option. We apologize for any inconvenience.” If it’s true they are offering it in Italian I’ll make the switch, otherwise I’ll continue dealing with RAI.
Paramount Plus will definitely disclose more information on the Italian Serie A on Italian commentating, announcers, Schedules, and more information possibly in the next upcoming week. If I was Paramount Plus I would create an Italian Serie A page just like how ESPN Plus created one for La Liga. They should add some legendary matches, Highlight shows, and some documentaries as well. Paramount Plus has a lot of potential if they add or a majority of these options. Thank you so much and sempre Forza Napoli!!!
SPFL is now listed on my Paramount app.
@jstrummer I never watched the SPFL but I will definitely check it out. I’m really excited for the Italian Serie A due to the fact it’s their first year on a new network. Paramount needs to release this information on their main website as well. It’s upsetting that Paramount doesn’t have any advertisements or commercials to get more subscribers. I’m excited to watch The Champions League, Europa League, and the new Conference League. Love that they have all of Nickelodeon’s 90s hits. Forza Serie A and Forza Napoli!!!
Is Paramount Plus going to state on their website that they carry the Serie A and the other rights that they have gained as well. Paramount needs to step it up on their website and their stream. I wish we could also choose our favorite team as our avatar instead or tv characters. Paramount Plus is not releasing any information including when you call them on their direct line. The Serie A starts in two weeks and Paramount doesn’t even seem to care. I love this community on Worldsoccertalk and we need to embrase this community so Paramount Plus and all other streaming services hear our voice. Thank you so much for allowing me to be a member of this amazing blog community. Thank you once again and Forza Napoli. Any Napoli fans I have a Facebook page called “Calcio Napoli Club USA”. FORZA NAPOLI!!!
Finally signed up again for Paramount+ today in anticipation of Serie A. Few things
While the picture quality wasn’t as bad as I recall from my UCL/EL free trial in Summer 2020, still very subpar compared to ESPN+. The Racing Club match I sampled seemed better than the earlier Celtic match though.
Navigation still not great, would like a “Sports” section, the “Live” tab does the job as most of the programming their is live soccer. They have sorted by league so that may be very useful. No scrolling by tons of content you don’t want like on ESPN+
The Live search function works while watching something, no need to exit the match. Similar to ESPN+’s “More Live” function.
Still cannot believe they haven’t figured out ||, >>, << functions yet!
As Michelangelo has mentioned, there is absolutely no mention of Serie A anywhere. You’d think with just a few weeks from the start they’d be promoting it a little on the service. Same goes for television ads promoting Paramount+ offerings. Big push for Behind the Music and other fare, but not Serie A from what I’ve seen.
JP, I completely agree with how strange the lack of promotion of Serie A there is on P+, especially when compared with the level of promotion ESPN+ is showing La Liga. The difference between the two is vast. As you mentioned there is no Serie A button within the P+ Sports category yet. On the other hand, ESPN+ has hours and hours of La Liga material available and that doesn’t include their coverage of La Liga on ESPNFC. Gaffer, any reason why CBS is not showing Serie A more love?
@JP and @David K. I really appreciate your comments and concern about the Italian Serie A located on it’s new home Paramount Plus. We need a Sports section most importantly a soccer section which makes it simpler for fans to access the match. Also why not have live events on the main page similar to what ESPN Plus did. Allow you to choose your favorite teams so you can access the live feed of the game you want to watch without going to other sections. Paramount needs to start promoting the Serie A and soccer content in commercials, ads, and also their website. The only section that I can find information on the site about the Serie A coming to Paramount is the FAQ section under soccer. We need a Golazo Show or similar to what Fox Soccer Plus had with Multicalcio 90 was amazing and it’s a must to obtain new subscribers for the Serie A season. The Paramount also needs to have 2-4 matches per matchday on CBS or CBS Sports Network so not only Paramount subscribers can watch the matches but regular cable subscribers can watch the match as well. Paramount can also add Serie A avatars so fans can choose their team as their avatar and most importantly they don’t have many to begin with. Paramount should add a Italian Serie A button and add highlights, documentaries, legends, etc. ESPN Plus executed this flawlessly and Paramount really needs to step up their game. The app lags like crazy and the fast forward and rewind option on Live TV doesn’t exist I assume. Paramount Plus should also join forces with the NFL ON CBS broadcast team as well so fans know about the Serie A on Paramount Plus and the CBS networks. It would be interesting to see two of the biggest sport in the world and the United States collide with broadcaster possibly switching for one match. It would create a huge drive for soccer in the U.S and a bigger Serie A fanbase. Each week fans should vote for which match they would like to see on CBS as well. It’s going to be challenging due to the fact that CBS has the NFL, PGA, March Madness, etc. The Serie A starts in the matter of a couple of weeks and still no information. Does Paramount really care that they obtained the rights to this league? It makes me sick that Paramount Plus is not lisitening to their subscribers and I really appreatiate the community that we are creating here on Worldsoccertalk. Thank you so much everyone for your support. Anyone have any suggestions on Paramount Plus and the Serie A? Also what Serie A team do you all support? Forza Napoli and Forza Serie A!!!
I am not Serie A fan, but Bundesliga fan and would be OVER THE MOON just to have ALL Bundesliga and ALL Champions League/Europa league in a single platform. One payment, simple, effective. People don’t appreciate what they already have.
@Leo I agree. For me, the AppleTV sports interface is great for locating games in several platforms. I wish GoogleTV added something similar.
Ciao Michelangelo, certamente Forza Napoli Sempre. It’s going to be fun this year, with Spalletti coming back, and Mourinho for Roma, Allegri came back for “rubentus”, Sarri. Osimhen is a crack. Thank you, I look up for the Facebook page. Ciao, grazie
Desperately need more information for the Serie A games and easy access to a detail selection of the games being streamed.
Please get this ready for well before 8/22.
ESPN+ had this all under control.
CBS SPORTS GOLAZO ON TWITTER FINALLY REVEALED A TRAILER SHOWING ALL THE LICENCES THEY GAINED INCLUDING THE SERIE A. AT THE 21 SECOND MARK YOU WILL SEE THE SERIE A LOGO. PARAMOUNT NEEDS TO RELEASE THIS TRAILER ON CABLE TELEVISION AND THEIR WEBSITE. I CAN’T WAIT FOR THE SERIE A SEASON TO BEGIN AND LET’S SEE IF THEY CAN DELIVER. FORZA NAPOLI AND FORZA SERIE A. THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE FOR YOUR COMMENTS. I’M EXCITED.
CBS Sports Golazo on Twitter just released a trailer showing all the rights they obtained. I find it odd that Youtube didn’t even post this video. CBS Sports on their Serie A section posted a schedule with all the different matches and times for the first matchday. Paramount is really dropping they ball. Add a Serie A button add some highlights some previews some highlights just add the Serie A to your platform. It’s almost 1 week till the start of the Serie A and no information. Disgusting. I hope Paramount can deliver. Thank you and Forza Napoli!!!
When is Paramount Plus going to create a Serie A button on their app, when is Paramount Plus going to add that they obtained the rights t0 these league and show the trailer that CBS Sports Golazo posted on their twitter page. It makes me sick that Paramount’s opening year with the Italian Serie A is failing to the ground and the first match of the season didn’t even start. It’s almost a week or so to go when the season begins and they just don’t seem to care. Why is the Serie A being thrown around like a Pizza Pie? ESPN Plus should have never let go of the League. I actually liked ESPN Plus and their broadcasts. What we need to see is Italian SAP option on the app, a sports section, choosing a favorite Serie A team as your avatar, Serie A button, highlights, eSports tournaments, Full Game highlights, legend commentators, they need a Diretta goal or a Golazo zone coverage that shows all the games and goals live on that matchday. We need more options and to watch the games just like how SKY Italia and DAZN are producing their matches. Thank you so much and Forza Napoli. Please Paramount Plus step up your game please????
An Italian Serie a button has just been posted on Paramount Plus today at 5:00pm EST. YESS. FORZA ITALIA AND FORZA NAPOLI!!!!
does PREMIUM plan offer the Seria A stream in 4K quality???
@musojahdadic- I don’t know if their is a 4k option but either package you obtain would get you all the matches for the Italian Serie A. Forza Napoli!!!
Grazie Mille e Forza Napoli!
No pause or rewind option. I hope this gets fixed ASAP. We need an Italian SAP option as well. Coverage is okay so far and stream is ehh.
The article says that Serie A is broadcasted in 3 languages. Where do you find it?
@Ra- I recently just called them on the Phone and a majority of the questions I provide they have no clue off. I also sent numerous of emails back to CBS to resolve some issues with the Serie A section. They have the Coppa Italia and Serie A in one section it’s going to get confusing when the Serie A starts as well. We need a sap option in Italian as well it’s a must. A golazo zone would be amazing let’s hope that we can have this feature just like the Champions League and Europa League does.
Can we get an update on this from the writer? This article is the only source I’ve seen mentioning language options and none of the currently posted Coppa Italia matches have any choice in commentary.
We will find out this week. Hold tight.
Does essential plan offer serie a replay, or I have to get the premium plan?
Games will be on-demand and live via Paramount+ Essential Plan.
Crotone Brescia match not working. The match went into extra time and the stream is not in. This is disgusting. The streams are horrible and if the game goes into extra time they don’t work.
Paramount Plus is dreadful. When I read this article of Paramount Obtain Italian, English, and Spanish broadcast. Some games on CBS Sports Network, 4k Streaming. I was very excited but Paramount doesn’t seem to care and it shows in their Coppa Italia coverage. I really hope they don’t disappoint when the Serie A season begins this Saturday. Some of the matches don’t work and the interface is horrendous. Thank you so much everyone and Forza Napoli!!!
Paramount Plus is working and I’m glad it is for for the Coppa Italia coverage. Although once the Serie A starts we need a Golazo zone or whip-around coverage similar to the Champions League, Europa League, or NFL Redzone. We need this since Americans when they watch sports get watch all the matches and never miss a thing. It’s the best way to watch a broadcast and it makes it interesting to see the title race. Multi language SAP broadcast in Italian would influence the game and gain an international audience to a new platform. They could also work with Rai Italia since they don’t have an HD stream. So many questions need to be answered starting from their website. No information what so ever about the Coppa Italia and the Serie A. Paramount Plus doesn’t care and if they don’t I would rather them go back to ESPN plus or another streaming service. I can’t wait to watch my Napoli perform in the Italian Serie A. Please Paramount Plus listen to the Worldsoccertalk community and let us enjoy the game that we love. Thank you so much everyone and Forza Napoli!!!!
We hope to see everything mentioned on this page because if everything happens were going to love Paramount. A favorite team selection is also a must on this page and a Golazo zone is crucial for the Serie A. Please @Christopher Harris thank you so much for your podcast and keep us updated with more information. Thank you and Forza Napoli.
We also need a rewind and pause feature because if you miss a goal you want to go back and see it instead of waiting for the highlights or the replay!
Will the games be broadcast live? Looking at week one it seems that none are live.
All the games will be live and on-demand. Here’s the schedule of games:
Mere days away from the start of the Serie A season and still no further details on the talent Paramount+/CBS plans to use for coverage?
JP- Paramount is lacking and their customer service team is god awful. They have no idea when I mention the Italian Serie A. Paramount really needs to get their information together and listen to worldsoccertalk and the community we created. The League starts this Saturday and we have no questions answered, We love the Serie A and were passionate football fans that want our questions answered. No multi-language broadcast. The stream for the Coppa Italia was awful and if the game went into extra time the stream wouldn’t work. I had a similar situation with the Champions League streams not working. Thank you so much everyone for your comments and support. Forza Napoli!!!
Is there any chance that Paramount+ will resolve the streaming/buffering issues that people have been complaining about? I really loved watch the Napoli games on ESPN+. Never had any issues when using my TV or phone. I really doubt they will get their act together. Forza Napoli!
Michelangelo, That’s definitely not good new for us Serie A fans.
Can’t wait for the WST articles begging for Discovery to bring Soccer into the 21st Century in the US once it is done with Paramount+.
@GR- FORZA NAPOLI!!!. ESPN Plus was great and I hope Paramount can at least do the same. For some matches for Coppa Italia and Champions League the stream wouldn’t go Through. For Coppa Italia matches that went to extra time the stream would say that the match is over. I hope that Paramount adds a Italian SAP option since Rai Italia isn’t an online or HD channel. We also need a NFL Redzone experience for the Serie A when multiple matches are being played usually at 9am. In Italy they have SKY Diretta Goal and their coverage is absolutely amazing in every way switching to all the live matches and goals. This is what Paramount Plus needs since their known for this by the Champions League and Europa League. Paramount Plus needs to step up their game fast and quick. Sempre Forza Napoli!!!
Let’s go this is Huge congratulations to Matteo and Dre. Excellent commentators in the past for ESPN+ and Bein Sports. Let’s hope Paramount delivers with solid stream quality. OMG Marco Messina from IFTV that’s amazing congratulations amazing news for Paramount. All we need is Serie A Goalazo zone and Italian SAP option. This is amazing to see that dreams to come true. Show us boys that the Serie A is the best league in the world. Congrats to all the announcers going to Paramount Plus. Fantastic news for everyone. What would you guys like to see Paramount Plus do with their Serie A coverage? FORZA NAPOLI!!! Andiamo Ragazzi
Need to know if there will be an Italian SAP option for Serie A streaming in North America. My subscription to Paramount+ is contingent on this. Forza Roma
The question is answered in the FAQ and here:
Thank you @Christopher Harris! Much appreciated for your efforts and answers and good news!
Let’s go how many matches in Italian? If the game is on CBSSN, will their be an Italian option for that match? Can you change the language on CBSSN with the SAP option on cable? I can’t wait thank you so much! I guess Rai Italia is working with Paramount Plus after all. Forza Napoli!!!
Thank you so much for the follow-up! Excellent news and very excited for this weekend!
@Christopher Harris amazing podcast by the way and amazing news for Paramount Plus and the Italian Serie A. Can’t wait for the season to start tomorrow. Will you be doing a podcast covering the Serie A matches. Forza Napoli!!!
The Serie A and Coppa Italia are two separate tournaments and they should have to separate buttons or tabs as you call them. It’s going to get confusing when the Serie A begins tomorrow. So far the Coppa Italia coverage was okay the picture quality was awful at times but atleast it works. Before we couldn’t even view these matchups so it’s great to see them live on the big screen. The Highlights section is amazing and it’s fantastic instead of watching the entire replay. We need Golazo zone coverage when multiple matches are being played at the same time. Any suggestions on what Paramount Should be doing with their service?
Will the Serie A get a golazo zone coverage since we have multiple matches for matchday one at the same time for Saturday and Sunday. This could be a great test run for the Serie A and Paramount Plus in the States using a new method to televise the matchups. Paramount uses it for the Champions League and Europa League so why not give it a shot. Thank you so much and thank you so much for all your help everyone. Forza Napoli!!!
@Michelangelo–I’m going to test my Paramount+ card tomorrow to watch a couple of Serie A games. I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Napoli-Venezia at the Maradona in front of the home crowd. FORZA NAPOLI! Battiamo il Venezia!
@Michelangelo What are your Serie A go-to games this weekend?
Gaffer: I’m a little frustrated, At least on apple tv the Paramount + app is not very user friendly,…,Anyway thats another topic. My biggest issue is no Spanish Language option like they promised, Im watching Inter-Genova and only English option available. Do you have any info on whats going on?
CBS Sports never promised Spanish-language commentary, but from what I understand, there’ll be more news coming from them about that in the near future.
In the meantime, Italian-language commentary is available for select Serie A games:
Is anyone else not getting Serie A on Paramount +?
It’s there. If you signed up for Paramount+ through Amazon, then that app hasn’t been updated. For anyone interested in signing up for Paramount+, do not sign up through Amazon. Otherwise you won’t have access to all the games.
@Chris Yes, you can still access it from the Paramount app, but you have to link accounts in the following address: https://www.paramountplus.com/amazon/
A similar solution is available for those who subscribe through Apple.
I’m watching through ROKU and everything is working fine, great video. I wish the NBC coverage looked that good!! I love the EPL but watching other leagues its tough that NBC has to use Sky (I assume) and ESPN and Paramount use world feeds?
Ah ok, I thought I had read that there would be. Hopefully they do have something, thanks Gaffer!
Another tip for Apple users is that you can always do pip if you send the first stream using airplay. I use android, but have an old IPhone handy just to do it.
When is this going to work on Amazon TV? Pretty disappointed
@Chris Can you elaborate on what are you referring to?
omfg i had no idea RAI lost all rights to Serie A here in states. i go to watch what games are on today and nothing is listed. absolutely disgusting how this works. its all about money. iv had RAI over a decade and now that the games are finally broadcast in HD some lame US owned company
(who knows or cares anything about italian calcio) buys the rights ? so they can squeeze money outta italo-americans ?
I didn’t see an Italian SAP option for any of the games yesterday. I’ve also noticed during the Sassulo-Verona game the stream was glitching and freezing at times especially during Raspadori’s goal. We need an Italian SAP option since it was promised to us. Since all the matches are going to be aired on Paramount Plus we need an Italian SAP option. Paramount Plus also needs to specify this information on their website and stating that they carry the Italian Serie A. So far I love the coverage from Matteo and Marco during the Pre-Half-Post game coverage. The chemistry between the two is incredible and I’m very proud of them both. Hopefully we have a Italian SAP option due to the fact that some of these commentators are horrendous. Overall excellent so far. Thank you so much everyone. Forza Napoli!!!
I hope Napoli-Venezia has an Italian SAP option. Does anyone else have an Issue with the Italian SAP option because I didn’t have that option on my devices? Please let me know thank you so much?
I checked all the games yesterday (live and replay) and there were no Italian audio options on Firestick.
@Dante and Michelangelo, Verona/Sassuolo definitely had Italian commentary. Was available on Apple TV and even switched over just to verify. Didn’t see it for Inter or Atalanta, didn’t check the Lazio match.
@Dante- I had the same issue on my firestick the new Chromecast with remote and phone. The Italian SAP option is no where to be found and it’s quite frustrating do the fact that the English announcers volume is so low and their commentating skills are mediocre to say the least. The picture quality isn’t even HD. No Pause or rewind option. The Verona-Sassuolo game was unwatchable do to the amount of lag. They need to fix this asap. The best thing that came out of yesterday is the pre-halftime-post coverage with Matteo and Marco excellent. We need more of these two.
@Michelangelo, while there was lag for the Sassuolo match in the 1st half it was fixed for the 2nd half. As for picture quality, it’s likely the device. Much clearer/HD quality since I switched to Apple TV. When on a Firestick would always be a notch below HD quality, and that was at best. This is with the same internet connection so must be a device issue.
The English commentary was world feed, a lot of them are actually quite good. Richard Whittle, Thomas Lawrence, Sheridan Bird are some of the names I recall from the past
@Michelangelo The picture quality on AppleTV was also similar to ESPN+. If I see another game with SAP option, I will also try with my GoogleTV (with remote), and Firestick 4K. I will let you know my findings.
@JP- Is the Italian SAP option only available for Apple TV. I don’t have a Apple tv I have a firestick, the new Google Tv, laptop, and phone. I really hope they add this feature to all platforms and not just Apple TV. I didn’t see this feature but the picture quality is horrendous and you should see the comments people are posting on the CBS Sports Golazo page on twitter. People are going insane including that the Sassuolo-Verona game was glitching every 5 seconds. They really need to fix this issue asap.
@RA- Thank you so much and please let me know. I really hope the matches today have some Italian SAP option involvement and a clear picture quality in HD. Let’s hope for the best. Forza Napoli!!
@Michelangelo. I’m not sure about other devices with SAP, but when I was using the Firestick to use P+ earlier this summer did notice a menu at the top right (might have to press up or down to make it visible) and within that was language info etc (was always just English, Argentine and Brazil Serie A). That would be the place to change language I imagine if available.
Yes Sassuolo was extremely glitchy 1st half. Did it get better for you 2nd half?
Picture quality was always awful before I switched to Apple, and was generally P+ was very buggy on Firestick too. Saw comments/reviews of P+ and seemed to be a universal issue with Fire users.
@JP @Michelangelo I did not experience any issues, but I was running some errands and tuned in only in the second half. The new google TV had also good image quality for the Brasileirao. See if you have an app update available by long pressing the Paramount app and selecting details. It should take you to the play store with either 2 options – open or update.
@JP- I really hope that other devices have this option as well. The first half was glitchy and the 2nd half got a little bit better. I really hope they fix the picture quality on Firestick, the new Google TV and the phone app. I love their show they have with Marco and Matteo and it’s brilliant. This was the best thing they’ve done so far. The Inter stream was good and clear. I just wish that they stream was HD? Let’s hope for the best and Forza Napoli!!!
Bologna Saleritana has an Italian SAP option let’s see if it works. The same stream that CBSSN provides is the same as Paramount Plus that’s amazing news.
@JP, @Michelangelo, and @Ra that’s the menu I was looking at to find options. Some of the games had English subtitles some didn’t but the only audio available was English (on Firestick).
No Italian SAP option for Phones
Interesting goal net in the Bologna match. Memory lane took me straight to Maracana’s iconic ‘Bride veil’ net, where beautiful goals in the angle seemed to touch the net without hitting it.
The picture quality is bad and there is no SAP in firestick indeed. Firesticks are based on an older Android architecture. I Suggest a GoogleTV. Cheap and responsive or an AppleTV, the mother of all streamers but to those who use kodi.
SaP is actually available in firestick, but only if you access it from the live menu. Strange. And The AppleTV image quality is indeed superior to google Tv. It must be the codec used.
@Ra- I have a Google Tv, Firestick, and also a Galaxy S9. All devices should have this feature and it should be specified if the device can’t perform that feature. Overall I love Paramount Plus so far.
It works on the firestick and googleTV. But you MUST access it from the Live menu tab, otherwise you won’t see a language option, just the cc icon.
@Ra thank you so much. I wonder if it works like this for phones as well. Thank you for all your help!
Very poor audio quality for the commentary on the Roma – Fiorentina game
OK, I’m a 60 yr old msn in the USA and I completely understand how sports TV these days work. BUT, What feed is CBS/Paramount using for Serie A? I am watching Roma and The Violets and the video is stunning compared to the EPL on the family of NBC. I get that NBC uses Sky Sports? feeds but wow what a difference, same as most ESPN+ feeds.
amazing, embarrassing? difference in this Serie A feed VS NBC EPL feeds
Anyone having trouble casting the Roma match from IPhone to Chromecast (via Paramount Plus)? All i get is a blue screen with the Paramount logo on it.
@Michelangelo No, it did not work in my note 10+, just in the TV apps.
@Michelangelo Where are you from? Are you from Campania?
Anyone else have and issue where one match has better video quality than the other going on same time?
Yesterday the Sassuolo match was better than Inter, today Bologna was better than Juve and now Roma better than Napoli. Not that the others are poor, just inconsistent or fluctuates between period of very good and others here it’s degraded.
I never switched from Torino (good quality) so don’t know if Lazio was worse off yesterday too.
Is it only available for Paramount+ in the USA or can serie a be seen on Paramount+ Canada?
DAZN has rights in Canada
Not any longer. fuboTV has Serie A rights in Canada
Paramount Plus and their first week with their pre-half-post coverage is excellent. Their analysts team is excellent and we need more of this. This group can create an amazing Golazo Zone since Rai Italia doesn’t have La Giostra Del Goal anymore. It would also be nice to see the Italian announcers and Paramount Plus team working working together during pre-half-post coverage having an Italian American coverage. It would be a new and interesting idea to have both interacting with each other since Marco and Matteo both speak Italian. More games with Italian SAP option and also this feature to be available on all platforms. We also need an HD quality stream. Overall excellent coverage so far and I’m excited and thrilled to see what Paramount Plus can do with the Serie A.
Why does the live serie A games work on the phone app, but not the app on PlayStation 4? I found serie A but it is showing no live games? Only highlights??? If I pull it up on my phone it shows live games. What is this non sense?
Udinese game has SAP.
@Blake- The PS4 app is pretty terrible and I hope they troubleshoot this situation. They really need to add an Italian SAP option to all devices.
@Christopher Harris- Is it possible to know which games will have the Italian SAP option? I just spoke to Paramount Plus customer service yesterday and they stated that the games are not in HD and their in SD. Which game are you looking forward to in the Italian Serie A?
No Italian SAP option for the Inter-Verona game. So far on a Friday one game yes and one game no. Not bad so far. I wish the quality was better and the Italian announcers are spot on.
Which devices will have the Italian SAP option? The only one I know is PC.
Will the TV show, Seal team be able to be seen on the $4.99 Essential plan when it moves to Paramount Plus only or do you have to subscribe to the $9.99 plan
well im disgusted and very dissatisfied with P+. after purchasing a year long subscription $50 JUST to watch serie A games live preferably, as well as Champions League. but since after free trial every time i tried to watch a game id lose the feed and get error code. now there isnt any live stream schedule at all. made numerous complaints only to get email saying serie A DOESNT WORK WITH XFINITY FLEX ?? idk seems like bs. just very displeased and feel duped outta $50. yes i can view recorded games but what good is that, i could just go watch youtube highlites as well. blows my mind how as technology gets better it gets worse at same time. used to view CL and Calcio for free in HD, dvr it. now i have to pay extra and it doesnt even work.
Watching the Venezia match now and the menu for Paramount+ has changed! Now have a “From Beginning” option which doesn’t work yet (nothing happens when choosing, but good to know it’s in the works). But, able to RW/FF/Pause etc. Also, audio and close caption functions on the same menu (sort of like ESPN+ going from “more live” to multicast, etc.
Actually, choosing “From Beginning” just takes you back a minute or so, the longest history it has to rewind to at the moment.
Serie A live games have disappeared from the app on my tv. i have sent several emails and have not gotten satisfactory answers. i get the app on my 2016 Samsung Smart TV through Xfinity since the app is not native to that model Samsung.
why was I getting live Serie A games live up til a few weeks ago? note i as still getting live games for other leagues. at least until yesterday
There are NO live Serie A games on the Paramount+ app I have thru AppleTV. Only games that have been recorded. Why is this???
@Giuseppe, next live match is at 12pm. I also access it through Apple TV (though didn’t sign up through Apple) and no problems
JP, I am on trial for one month thru AppleTV+ for Paramount+. Only see recorded events in the Serie A section. And there are only recordings thru 12/17 are available there today, 12/19. There are no live sports available in this app anywhere I can see…only the live CBS channel.
@Giuseppe, not sure what to say. The matches were definitely there live today too. I don’t usually look for replays so not sure how long it takes for them to be up after a match has ended. Maybe delete the app and download again (like the good old “reboot the PC” way to fix issues ha)
