Kennedy Brown scored 13 points and Taya Corosdale added 12 as the Oregon State Beavers topped Washington 47-41 in a Pac-12 women’s basketball game Sunday in Seattle.
Oregon State clamped down in the fourth quarter, holding the Huskies scoreless for more than eight minutes. The Beavers went on an 8-0 run to go from trailing 37-36 early in the quarter to holding a 44-37 lead with 2:12 to play.
When Washington scored with 45 seconds left, the Huskies finally stopped a scoreless stretch of 8:14. But Washington (5-7, 0-4 Pac-12) could only get as close as 45-41 before the Beavers (9-4, 2-1) held on for the win.
