Takuma Inoue is a 27-year-old Japanese boxer and he has just become the WBA bantamweight champion, beating Venezuela’s Liborio Solis. This win improved his record to 18 wins and 1 loss. His only loss was against Morocco’s Nordine Oubaali for the WBC bantamweight title in 2019. Takuma’s older brother Naoya held the same championship belt earlier this year but had to give it up.
Naoya Inoue was happy to win the belt that used to belong to his brother, who watched him from ringside. He now wants to do what his brother did and become an undisputed champion – just like Enrique Pinder did back in 1972 when he won all four belts at once.
A 29-year-old person, who has never been beaten in a fight (24-0), has decided to give away all four of his titles. He is now planning to compete against Stephen Fulton from the USA in July and move up to a higher weight division.
