Lee Chin Alleges Racist Abuse at Charity Match: Wexford Captain Forced to Abandon Game

by admin

Tipperary and Wexford GAA are looking into the incident on Saturday when someone allegedly yelled racist comments at Lee Chin, a Wexford Hurler.

The two organisations have said that this type of behaviour is not okay. In a statement released Saturday night, Wexford GAA confirmed their disapproval as well.

Both Tipperary and Wexford GAA will now investigate the incident further to find out what happened.

Today, the Tipperary senior hurlers had a match against Wexford which was hosted by Carrick Swan club. Towards the end of the game, somebody who was not linked to either Tipperary GAA or the Carrick Swan club said something racist directed at a player from Wexford’s team.

Tipperary GAA are saying that this kind of behaviour is really bad and should not be accepted anywhere, even at our sports games. They don’t support any comments like this and neither do the team, players or Carrick Swan GAA club.

“The Tipperary and Wexford GAA County Boards have talked about an incident that happened, and they both want to find out what really happened.”
