Alex Baena started playing in a soccer match Saturday while Federico Valverde came in during half time. But after the game Alex’s family got threats because people thought he wanted to hurt Federico’s family. When Alex went to his team bus, someone attacked him and Real Madrid said it was Federico that did it.
Last Saturday, after a soccer game between me and Real Madrid, I was attacked by someone from the same job as me. His friends said things about my family that weren’t true afterwards, but we haven’t been able to find any proof of these claims yet.
Valverde’s partner, Mina Bonino, said in February they thought they had lost their baby, but it turned out to be healthy. Some reports in Spain even claimed that Baena talked about this during the game.
Baena, who said these accusations are totally false, also stated his family received mean words and threats afterward. He added that people who made such accusations took advantage of a bad thing just to justify attacking him and there were some lies that hurt more than physical punches.
My family is going through a really hard time. We are getting mean comments, insults and threatening messages which is not okay. So yesterday, we reported all of this to the police to get justice for us.
Villarreal also said that one of their players, Alex Baena, was hurt on his way to the bus after their match with Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu stadium last night.
The player has decided to take action and file a complaint against the aggressor using the police. Villarreal CF is standing behind the player and rejects any form of violence. Real Madrid and Valverde have not said anything about this yet. Lastly, Samuel Chukwueze scored twice and won for Villarreal which puts Real in danger of losing their title hopes.
