Brooklyn Nets Make History, Reach Play-Offs Thanks to Epic Victory Over Orlando Magic

Mikal Bridges scored the most for the Nets with 22 points at the Barclays Center.

The Brooklyn Nets won 101-84 against the Orlando Magic, making them able to enter the NBA Eastern Conference play-offs. This win took place because of Miami Heat losing their game, puting the Nets in sixth place.

All this will mean that they have a play-off with third placed Philadelphia 76ers.

Spencer Dinwiddie, who just returned to Brooklyn from Dallas as part of the Irving trade, talked about how amazing and mature his team was. Meanwhile, in Dallas, Kyrie Irving didn’t play and Luka Doncic only had 12 minutes in a game that could’ve changed their luck for coming into playoffs. The Mavericks needed to win against the Chicago Bulls at home for them to get past Oklahoma City Thunder and go to playoffs, but unfortunately they lost 115-112.

The Golden State Warriors have almost made it to the play-offs. They beat the Sacramento Kings 119-97, which put them in fifth place. However, if the Los Angeles Clippers win their game against the Trail Blazers on Saturday, they will go above the Warriors and get a spot in the play-offs instead.

The New Orleans Pelicans and the Los Angeles Lakers still need to win one more game before they can qualify for a spot in the playoffs.

The Lakers got closer to achieving this when they won their game against the Phoenix Suns, who have already locked up fourth place in the West.

LeBron James’ team has been on a roll lately, winning eight out of their past ten games and guaranteeing themselves at least an eighth-place finish.

The Milwaukee Bucks, the top team in the West, chose not to play their usual players and were beaten by the Memphis Grizzlies who got second place.

In the East, even though the Atlanta Hawks lost to the 76ers 136-131, they will still get 8th place which is one spot lower than the Miami Heat who were defeated 114-108 by the Washington Wizards.

The Toronto Raptors lost a game to the Boston Celtics who are ranked second in their group. As a result, they will now be ranked ninth, and they’ll play the 10th-ranked Chicago Bulls on Wednesday for their next game.
