Vicky Molyneux recounts enduring a nervy spell as she bowed out from international rugby with a landslide 60-0 victory for England against Wales at Headingley.
Launching her career in England women’s inaugural game in 2007, Molyneux’s last match was almost marred by an incident that could have seen her receiving a red card instead of a sin-bin during the first half for a high tackle on Brogan Evans.

It would’ve been heartbreaking to push on and risk being overlooked. It’s time to retire the cleats and pass the baton to the next wave of talent.”
Molyneux also carved her name into the annals of club rugby history this year by becoming the first woman inducted into Wigan’s Hall of Fame.
