Espargaro earns his second MotoGP triumph following last year’s victory in Argentina
In an exhilarating finish, Spain’s Aleix Espargaro claimed the British Grand Prix title, besting the reigning MotoGP champion, Francesco Bagnaia, on the last lap at Silverstone.
Espargaro, the Aprilia rider, savored his first victory of the season, with Ducati’s Bagnaia finishing as the runner-up, having led from the second lap onwards.
Bagnaia, an Italian rider, expanded his lead in the championship to 41 points, following Marco Bezzecchi’s crash.
Brad Binder of South Africa, representing KTM, rounded out the podium finishers.
Six-time world champion Marc Marquez experienced a crash after a collision with Ducati rider Enea Bastianini, with only five laps left to go.
The Spanish rider from Honda has been absent from five out of nine races this season and hasn’t finished a race since the Malaysian GP last October.

Bagnaia still increased his lead in the championship. Not a bad day at all for him, despite not finishing first.
can’t wait for the Austrian GP. Hoping for less crashes and more high-speed action. See ya all there, guys!

Binder from KTM did great too, didn’t he? Completing the podium ain’t no small feat!
