The 34-year-old Puerto Rican Serrano delivered nearly double the punches but had words of admiration for her 41-year-old competitor, post-match. Judges declared the bout scores as 99-91, 100-90, 100-90.
“Heather is a formidable fighter. She’s incredibly resilient,” Serrano commented, speaking of her Brooklyn-based counterpart.
