Aston Villa On Verge of Europe After 2-0 Win Over Nottingham Forest

by admin

Aston Villa are now close to qualifying for the Europa League, as they won a big match against Nottingham Forest. In the first half it wasn’t easy for Aston Villa and their coach Emery, since Forest was equal to their efforts. However, at the end of the match they still got the victory and moved six points closer to qualifying!

Villa almost scored in the first half, but Ollie Watkins’ shot was stopped by Keylor Navas. Later, just after halftime, Villa got an easy goal! The ball bounced off Jonjo Shelvey and Bertrand Traore kicked it right past Navas.

At the very last minute, Watkins scored for Aston Villa after passing and kicking the ball back-and-forth with Jacob Ramsey. This result leaves Nottingham Forest at the bottom of the table trailing behind and potentially going down in rank. On the other hand, Aston Villa is now 6 points away from 5th place with 8 games left to play.

Ollie Watkins’ Goal Helps Aston Villa’s Record Improvement Under Coach Emery

Since October, when Emery took the lead, he has transformed Villa’s luck drastically. Before his arrival, they had only won two of their eleven opening matches – but now they are strongly doing well in the table. In the first half it was tough for them to make progress as Alex Moreno was their main source going forward with his runs down the wing.

After scoring a goal, the team’s confidence improved. Emi Buendia almost scored again, but his shot landed just wide of the near post. Ollie Watkins scored another 9th goal in 11 games and coach Emery said he was doing great with “important commitment” to the team.

We are really happy when Ollie scores; he is playing a good quality of football and receiving lots of support from his team, like how his teammate Jacob Ramsey helped him out today. It’s great for Ollie to be scoring goals and doing well.

Aston Villa has already scored more points than last season, and their coach Emery hopes that they continue performing well in the future games.

Nottingham Forest Fans Show Their Support Despite Losing Streak

Forest are having a rough patch and haven’t won in nine Premier League matches. They did stay strong and keep Villa from scoring in the first half though, so that was a plus. Plus, Brennan Johnson on the right worked hard and gave the Villa trouble, and Shelvey offered some helpful passes.

Forest, led by their manager Cooper, were unable to score any goals in their game against Villa Park and ended up losing. Even though the Forest owner has said that he supports Cooper, they need better results and performances if they want to stay out of trouble. During the game, Forest fans cheered for Cooper in order to show their support.

“That’s the part that hurts us the most, all of us. We’re all trying to do great job for our fans and our team,” he said after the game.

“Of course it makes us feel even worse when we make mistakes or goals get scored against us. There’s nobody else to point fingers at besides ourselves because we caused these errors.”
