Clarke Oduor, recognized for his goal that maintained Barnsley’s Championship position in 2020, is now part of Bradford City’s team.

Bradford City has secured wing-back Clarke Oduor under a contract for three years. This 23-year-old international player from Kenya was previously with Barnsley, but was released, making him Bradford City’s inaugural signing for the summer.

Oduor had a total of 57 appearances for Barnsley after joining the team from Leeds in 2019. He was, however, loaned to Hartlepool during the last season, where he contributed one goal in his 14 appearances.

Besides his role as a wing-back, Oduor has also demonstrated his versatility as a winger and a full-back, notably scoring the vital goal for Barnsley against Brentford that ensured their Championship status in the 2019-20 season.

Having earned a single cap for Kenya during a 2-1 friendly victory over Zambia in 2020, Oduor commented on his new journey, “Bradford City is an enormous club with an exceptional fanbase, so I am eager to get started. My goal here is to assist in pushing the club back up the leagues. I am committed to this three-year contract and excited to commence my journey here.”
