Peter Hickman, the renowned racer, notched his third Senior TT victory, continuing his triumphant career.

Hickman made a stunning performance at the Senior TT, achieving his second four-time victory in a row, marking his 13th win at the Isle of Man.

The FHO Racing BMW rider established his dominance right from the beginning of the race, maintaining a strong lead throughout the six laps, and broke the Senior race lap record by achieving 135.507mph.

Hickman, at 36, finished the race with an impressive lead of 19.98 seconds over Dean Harrison, while Michael Dunlop came third.

Dunlop also had a successful race week with four victories, pushing his total wins to 25.

Despite missing the chance to match his Uncle Joey’s record of 26 victories, Dunlop will have another opportunity in 12 months to attempt surpassing this record.

Meanwhile, Ian Hutchinson maintains his unique achievement of winning five individual races in a week for 13 years.

Hickman’s recent success marked his third win in the Senior race following his victories in 2018 and 2022’s four-time win. His triumph was impressive, finishing 39 seconds faster than the previous race record, clocking one hour and 42.29 seconds.

With his 13 wins, Hickman has surpassed Bruce Anstey in the all-time winners’ list and is just one victory short of Mike Hailwood’s record.

As the race unfolded, Hickman quickly established a lead of 6.1 seconds over Harrison in the first circuit with a lap speed of 135.349. Michael Dunlop, on his Hawk Racing Honda, trailed by a further 3.9 seconds behind DAO Racing Kawasaki’s Harrison.

Despite a slower pit stop, Hickman managed to widen the gap to 11.8 seconds by the end of the second lap. However, Harrison, who had finished third five times this week, kept Dunlop in check, aiming to break into the top two for the first time in TT 2023.

As Hickman entered his last lap, he had established a comfortable lead of 15.9 seconds. The British Superbike rider held on to this lead until the end, with Dunlop finishing third, 20 seconds behind second-place Harrison.

Reflecting on his performance, Hickman commented, “I wasn’t super-fast but I did enough. I had more in hand if I really needed it but I just did what I had to. It’s been a great TT.”

Conor Cummins, riding for Milenco by Padgett’s Honda, finished fourth, followed by Australian Josh Brookes and James Hillier.

In addition to the Senior race, Hickman also celebrated victories in the Superstock and Supertwins races, while Dunlop dominated both Supersports, a Supertwin, and the Superbike event.
