In July 2021, Jadon Sancho made the switch to Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund.
Manchester United’s head coach, Erik ten Hag, has emphasized that Jadon Sancho holds the key to his reinstatement in the main squad of the club.
23-year-old Sancho has been training separately from the team following allegations that he was unjustly blamed for the team’s loss to Arsenal in September.
At that time, Ten Hag justified Sancho’s absence by citing subpar training efforts.
“The ball is in his court,” stated Ten Hag.

Ten Hag mentioned that Sancho, who was signed from the German club Borussia Dortmund for a hefty £73m in 2021, needs to align with the culture he is fostering at Manchester United.
Since Ten Hag’s arrival at Old Trafford about a year and a half ago, he has been focused on enhancing the discipline within the team.
In response to speculations about Sancho’s potential departure in January, Ten Hag commented, “He knows the prerequisites for a comeback; it’s his decision to make.”
“It’s about cultivating a certain culture, and each player must meet these standards,” he added.
Manchester United released a statement in September announcing Sancho’s participation in an “individual training program separate from the first team” due to an unresolved squad discipline issue.
Sancho, who has struggled with physical and mental challenges for three months in the last season, has been declared unfit for play by Ten Hag at one point.
Sancho has contributed 12 goals in his 82 appearances for United but has been absent from the field since their 3-2 victory against Nottingham Forest on August 26.
Manchester United, currently sixth in the standings, are set to play Bournemouth in their next Premier League match.

Ten Hag’s doing great with the discipline stuff but isn’t it a bit harsh on Sancho? he’s got potential.
