Marcus Rashford scored his 28th goal for Manchester United this season. The coach of the team, Erik ten Hag agreed that goals from Marcus Rashford were key to the team’s success by saying “Yes, it’s true! Manchester United are too reliant on goals from Marcus”.
Manchester United’s player, Marcus Rashford, has scored an amazing 10 goals that have been winning games in the Premier League this season! That makes him the most awesome scorer since Wayne Rooney back in 2009-10. Even though Rashford is really good at scoring, other players like Bruno Fernandes are also really great at it too. Across their whole team, Manchester United have plenty of skilled people when it comes to scoring goals. In Europe’s top five leagues, only Victor Osimhen from Napoli has scored more than Rashford since the last World Cup!
Manchester United won the game, which means they’re no longer lower than Tottenham in the Champions League rankings.Their victory also came after losing to Newcastle on Sunday.
The opposite team, Brentford, were trying to qualify for Europe but lost for only the second time out of 17 Premier League matches.
Before Manchester United’s victory, Scott McTominay and Antony made some good attempts, but it was Marcus Rashford who eventually scored from close range with a helpful header from Marcel Sabitzer after Brentford had trouble dealing with a corner.
In the first half of the game, Brentford wasn’t doing so great, but improved in the second half. The goalkeeper for United, David de Gea had to get some medical help after making a big save against Kevin Schade’s shot. Both teams now have 53 points each and United has three more than Tottenham which has played one additional match compared to them.

“United Drop Below Top Four Despite Sancho Adding Energy”
Manchester United used to be in the top four positions, but after their defeat on Sunday and Tottenham’s draw on Monday, they have now dropped down below that mark. The manager added Jadon Sancho to give their team more energy. Unfortunately, they still almost lost to Brentford at the end as they gained momentum throughout the match.
At halftime, Sabitzer tested David Raya while Fred tried to score but missed the goal. United didn’t get anymore points before the game was over, and they faced a few scary moments. De Gea saved the team from Schade who would’ve scored if it weren’t for him keeping cool and blocking his path.
People might still have doubts about how much United is relying on Rashford for scoring goals, but Ten Hag wants them to be successful in the Premier League again, just like when they won the Carabao Cup.
Ten Hag said “What we did last Sunday was not acceptable. I expect and demand better performance from us today.”

Recently, Brentford have been doing amazing great in the league, even with their current loss at Old Trafford. Last year, they finished 13th after getting promoted from the Championship. Right now, they are only 3 points away from the amount of 46 points which helped them to secure 13th place last season.
The team had an amazing start to the season, beating United, City and Liverpool in a row. They were so close to getting a point here but De Gea stopped them from doing so. The team is still in with a chance of getting Europe at the end of the season despite Newcastle, who won 5-1 against West Ham, being their next competition.
